I’m not sure if this is an @ivory bug, something in iOS 26.4b, or expected behavior, but should “Post” turn orange or become more obvious once I start typing a message?

I fixed this thanks to Tailscale.

I think the only “issue” with my SearXNG setup is that I made it private. That’s fine - but my login doesn’t persist so I have to login periodically throughout the day when searching. I’m sure there’s a way to resolve this with making it public, and that’s this weekend’s evenings problem.

If you told me six months ago I’d be self-hosting a search engine, I would’ve told you to get out. But here we are.

Considering ending my Kagi sub. What’s everyone’s next favorite? I haven’t minded Startpage in the past; wasn’t a huge fan of DDG.

Maybe I’m naive, but I do think age verification, especially if it becomes widespread, could be the thing that stops regular social media users from using services. Not all of them but I think about the FB users I know and I don’t see them having an appetite to fork over their ID to keep using it.
