Running my 11ty site on Codeberg and having it deploy via Woodpecker CLI was fine enough and worth getting off GH for, but Forgejo with actions is so much easier and less convoluted. (To be clear, Codeberg Pages and Woodpecker CLI themselves are not especially convoluted, but what I was doing with them was.)

The absurdity of this time is that I am engulfed with rage and anxiety and a deep sadness at what’s happened and happening and yet am editing a JS file to refine my little website.

Blow whistles and build a website.

Record video of illegal forced entries and kidnappings and spin up Audacity to record that guitar riff you can’t get out of your head.

Protect someone from pepper spray and write a poem.

We’re not just seeing the results of the election with the government assassination of people (citizens or not) without due process, but also of white peoples for years witnessing the murder of black, brown, and other peoples shrugging and saying, “But what can we do?”

When we did nothing then, we signaled that we would do nothing later, too.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a trip to Philly (art museum and delicious Szechuan dry fry) and a Kobo reader. (Plus a failed attempt to go to a Costco outside Philly last night … 3 days before a major snowstorm 😬)
