Before I migrated DNS to Bunny managed by DNSControl, it was on Cloudflare. For some reason, this caused issues using SSH to access my Forgejo repos, so I opted for HTTPS.

Tonight, I spent the time to properly set up SSH for the repos. I initially forgot to setup the port forwarding on my VPS, but some of it was rendered moot because I have Tailscale set up on most of my machines.

I still opted on my laptop to setup the remote repo with the proper SSH + port link but that’s because I sometimes turn Tailscale off on it (for a variety of reasons).

I haven’t broken anything yet I couldn’t fix (regardless of how long or how much swearing) so that’s good.

My laptop sounds like a plane landing I’m sure it’s fine

I’m training someone in my office to do pension projections for employees but was looking for a way to hold us accountable.

Right now, employees just email us and, well, we get a lot of emails so some can get lost in the shuffle for a few days.

I’m working with IT to get a ticketing system up and running for employees to submit their requests. That way, we can log in at any moment to see if one’s be received, acted on, etc., to, hopefully, provide better service overall to employees.

Realized in the migrations of DNS records, my `pics` CNAME didn’t make it. Fixed that on the fly with the new DNSControl setup and, boy, was that nice.

I had a great day out getting signatures to get my friend, a State Rep, back on the ballot as we must do every 2 years in PA.

Heard from a lot of folks the same things:

1. We need to do everything we can as Dems to win elections
2. They weren’t watching the SOTU (or at least weren’t doing so sober)
3. They’re horrified by the administration

I’ll tell you, I pick doors to knock that aren’t hit very frequently or regularly during elections. These are folks who do show up to vote but the “action” part of it from then was a relief and a small sliver of light in the dark.

The good news is our 1Password subscription just renewed two weeks ago, so I have time to migrate.
